Fubecca!!!

Hey my dear family and friends!

I hate to say it. But this week is going to be a SHORT email! I know I know, you love reading a full novella from me each week but I have a good reason!

Reason 1, I got a haircut today and that took a LOT of time.

Reason 2, we have BAPTISM this week!! Yeah! And because of that, we had a LOT to do today! Like, sitting in the church to see how long the baptismal font takes to fill up! (That is the special place that fills with water where we baptize people!) Anyway, excuses are excuses and I shouldn't be using them. I apologize.
But! I will give some fun stuff for this week!

So Tuesday we had an exchange with our Zone Leader (this means that my companion Elder Price left for a day and another missionary who is a leader took his place for the day. Don't worry, we picked up Elder Price that evening) and it was SO COOL! We had so many miracles that I want to tell you about, so if you remind me later, I will make sure to send them to you!! Okay okay, what else?

Wednesday we had a special meeting with our Zone called "Zone Conference". A Zone is basically one large section of the mission, in this case about 1/5 of New York. It was GREAT! We were told a lot of new things that we need to try, and I am excited to get to work!

Thursday was ROUGH let me tell you. It was such a hard day, but I read some really awesome scriptures about lifting up my head! One thing I really liked that I found was in Joshua 1 verse 5 that tells us that God will never leave us, no matter what kind of changes we have in our lives!

Friday was another really strange day, but we had some great lessons with our friend who is getting baptized this Wednesday! We also made another addition to "The Shag" (see pictures) and it was SO GOOD! Someone needs to try this sandwich, and tell me what you think! I don't know if it's just missionaries that like this thing!

Saturday was AWESOME! We got a LOT done and I felt like I was on top of the WORLD again! We had some really great adventures that day. I can't remember what day it was, but Elder Price and I saw this CRAZY COOL castle out in the middle of nowhere! Don't know what it was, but it was really neat!

Sunday was kind of sad because one of our beloved friends told us we were wasting their time. That was hard. But it was my dad's birthday, so I got to call him which was so cool! He is usually at work when I call my family, so it was really nice to get to talk to him! We also got some SUPER cool training this week and guess what!! WE GET TO USE FACEBOOK MESSENGER ON MONDAYS!! That means that I can text you all if I have you on Facebook! Which is GREAT! Please add me, and send me what miracles you see in your life!

Okay I guess I better explain the title of this email right? Well. "Fubecca" means "disobedient" in Portuguese. And here in Canastota the missionaries yell FUBECCA at one another when we do something that is silly or maybe against the rules. For example, if your shirt is untucked we say "wow, Elder Taylor is SO FUBECCA" and that's how we tease one another! I thought it was a fitting title for this weeks really short email. But you know what?? I will do SO MUCH BETTET NEXT WEEK!

I love every single one of you SO MUCH! AND! I know your Heavenly Father loves you too! Please always remember that, and keep being amazing lights to all the people around you!

I have a riddle for you. And the answer can be found in the Old Testament of the Bible. If you know the answer, I'll be thoroughly impressed! It is, "From the water came forth meat, and from strength came forth sweetness". What is the answer? And yes, it is termed a "riddle" in the bible. So tell me what you find! Happy hunting!

I love you!!
Elder Taylor!!
The castle thingy. What IS THAT?? (Also, my hair looks pretty good in that one but what is UP with my face? Ew)
The haircut (my trainer is a barber haha!)

Oh WOW!

How is it GOING my party people! You know what time it is! ELDER TAYLOR'S EMAIL TIME!  So, this week was really really awesome let me tell you. And of course, we gotta do our weekly breakdown!  So, on P-day last week I discovered that my trainer's dad (Elder Mabey the Elder) and my dad (Elder Taylor the Elder) were in the SAME DISTRICT on their missions! How crazy is that?!? Talk about a small world, am I right?!?!? Anyway, that was really cool but the weather here is very not. Cool, that is. I am no where NEAR used to this humidity and it drives me crazy sometimes, but I am used to sweating a lot from the good old Arizona sun, so oh well. We didn't really do much on P-day, just got me some food! And had a few really awesome and DEEP discussions! My companions are so SMART!  Tuesday was just AMAZING as well of course! We had lots of miracles, because we were able to have a short lesson with one of our friends! He has a hard time keeping lessons short, because he loves to ...

Back in Arizona! Home from Nauvoo...

A   really  cool picture of Joseph and I reading from the book of Ether in the Book of Mormon before the martyrdom. Oh my goodness friends!! Sad to say it, but my time in Nauvoo is done for this year... It has been SO long since I wrote up a weekly email and I will be honest with you, it has been really hard to start one. You see, on July 31st, it was time to finally fly home from Nauvoo. I had spent so long living and working there that writing the "goodbye to Nauvoo" email was really difficult. Hence it has been about three weeks since the last time I wrote one of these. Due to that fact, this will mostly be a recap of the last few weeks, plus a few new adventures as well!  The last performances of the Nauvoo and British Pageants went SO well! I didn't get injured again, but I did get really sick at one point. I only missed one rehearsal all summer, and it was on the day my sickness was the worst. During that last week of shows, my parents actually flew out to...
