Back in Arizona! Home from Nauvoo...

A   really  cool picture of Joseph and I reading from the book of Ether in the Book of Mormon before the martyrdom. Oh my goodness friends!! Sad to say it, but my time in Nauvoo is done for this year... It has been SO long since I wrote up a weekly email and I will be honest with you, it has been really hard to start one. You see, on July 31st, it was time to finally fly home from Nauvoo. I had spent so long living and working there that writing the "goodbye to Nauvoo" email was really difficult. Hence it has been about three weeks since the last time I wrote one of these. Due to that fact, this will mostly be a recap of the last few weeks, plus a few new adventures as well!  The last performances of the Nauvoo and British Pageants went SO well! I didn't get injured again, but I did get really sick at one point. I only missed one rehearsal all summer, and it was on the day my sickness was the worst. During that last week of shows, my parents actually flew out to...

WELCOME TO NAUVOO!

June 20-26 Monday - well today was finally the day that we flew out of Salt Lake to go to Nauvoo! I got up at about 5 AM after a terrible nights sleep, and picked up a friend on my way to the airport! My super awesome uncle and cousin drove me up there. Honestly, none of this adventure would have been possible without them, and I am beyond grateful! After we got to the airport, we sat around and visited with all those who were flying with us in the plane! There were lots of actors whom I know and love, and several new people who will be in what is called “work crew”. Basically their job is to be the men behind, under, and around the stage! Also known as techies, or stage hands! The show cannot happen without them! The majority of them are fresh out of high school, or just started senior year. Which is rather weird to me, seeing as I am older than all of them, yet they seem so knowledgeable and wise… very humbling! Anyway, our flight was a little late leaving (about an hour) becau...

Last week in Salt Lake!!

HI!!! Hello Brothers and Sisters!! How was your week?! Mine was pretty crazy great as you are about to find out! This week was FULL of late nights, so many of these entries from this week will be short, but hopefully entertaining! Most of this was written today, so hopefully you all enjoy! Monday- Today was just a short day of rehearsal, but it still felt like a full day! We had a special guest come into rehearsal. His name is Brother Warner. When the Nauvoo Pageant was first put on in 2005 he was the director. Now one thing you need to know about Brother Warner is that he is AWESOME!! He taught us so much, and the Spirit he brought with him was PROFOUND! I couldn't believe how gifted he was, and just how in tune with the Spirit he was! It was like learning at the feet of an apostle almost! I mean, he is a former member of the Seventy (which in our Church, the Seventy are really awesome leaders! Like the Seventy from Christ's time!) After he left, we worked hard on the Briti...

Nauvoo Rehearsals Week 1!!

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Friends and Family, HELLO AGAIN!! First off, I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH HI!!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO SHARE ALL THE WONDERFUL THINGS HAPPENING HERE!! While doing rehearsals, and while performing in Nauvoo, I have decided to keep a digital journal every night, and share that journal with you every week in my weekly emails! There will be a lot of stories, and this method will help me so I can break up my email writing into smaller pieces every day rather than one long writing session at the very end of the week! So without further ado, here is week one of the Nauvoo and British Pageants!! Saturday- I celebrated my uncle's birthday with him! It was a SUPER HUGE party, and honestly a lot of fun! That man knows how to get a crowd together!! It was really cool too because we got to see just how much of an impact he has made in other people's lives throughout his life! I strive to be like him every day, because he is a great example! Who in your life is a great exam...
