The REAL Happiest Place on Earth!

Hello my dear family and friends!

This is once again, your most favoritest missionary, Elder Taylor!
This week was my first EVER week in the Provo Utah Missionary Training Center (MTC)! And it has been absolutely AMAZING! But first, let me tell you about the journey that was the beginning of this week. (Some of you complained about the length of my email last week, so sorry if this is also crazy long. You know me, I love telling stories)
On Sunday I was still at home, so I got to go to church with my family one last time and hang out with the little children in their primary classes! My mom is the primary singing time leader, so she asked me to come in and bring my guitar so that we could sing silly songs, and songs about Jesus with the children. And I can tell you right now, that Jesus loves little children. Hearing those testimonies shine so brightly through music was one of my favorite things of the week! When I was leaving church though, I had an INCREDIBLE experience that really taught me the importance of exact obedience and it's an amazing story, so if you want to hear it, please shoot me an email and I will tell you all about it!! I then got to watch an awesome devotional where we learned a little more about the Provo MTC and I got so excited to go!
Monday was my last day of online classes, and Elder Hofhiens and I taught a pretty great lesson in a Helping Others activity! I didn't have a lot to do this day, so I started to doodle some funny little Elders! I may attach their adventures over the next two years!
Tuesday was the very last day that I got to see my family, and so we went out bowling and got some Dairy Queen altogether. It was just a really long day full of packing and getting ready to fly out the next day!
Wednesday was the day I flew out of Tucson AZ and to Provo UT for the MTC! It was hard to say goodbye, but I know that I will see the family and friends that I love so much again! I got picked up at the Salt Lake City airport (P.S. always say hi to missionaries when you see them, we love it!) by my Uncle, and got to hang out with him and go to In-n-Out one last time before the mission! (They don't have In-n-Outs in New York) Then I got to the MTC!! It's SO GOOD to see everyone in person! I am so happy to be with these people I have started to love so much! I was one of the first 15 missionaries there and WE GOT ON THE CHURCH NEWS!!! If you go look up "LDS MTC opening" you can see pictures of the Sisters in my district (a district is a group of missionaries I learn with) and you can find me being quoted in the news! I'll attach a picture of my quote because it's really awesome! Go look for pictures of me, because you will find them! Let me tell you all, the Chocolate Milk is the BEST!
Thursday was my first full day, and the Elders I work with and I all got up at 6 am and went for a good run! I am really getting to love these people here, and the Spirit is so very strong! Sister Holmes had a dream that the MTC chicken was poisoned and we did not listen, and this whole week anyone who has eaten the chicken has been MESSED up. So don't eat the chicken, people. Elder Hofhiens and I were called to be Zone Leaders that day! Which is AWESOME! Basically that means we are to watch over a group of 24 missionaries and help organize meetings and make sure that everyone feels loved. It's kinda wild that we were asked to do that, but we have been working hard already to make sure that happens!
Friday, yesterday, was a GOOD DAY. We all felt like it was the best day so far! Elder Hofhiens and I did some personal Zone Leader training, and I met up with an old teacher! After that we had an AMAZING lesson that was definitely the highlight of the day where we learned about our Savior Jesus Christ and talked about what He has done for us! The Spirit was so strong in class. I just want to share a quick scripture with you all from The Book of Mormon. It is in the book of Mosiah chapter 24 verse 14 which reads, "And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon our backs... that ye may know of a surety that I the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions". I just want to testify that I know you Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you, and I love you too for reading this far in my email! You all mean so much to me, and please shoot me an email! I love to hear from you!

Love,
Elder Taylor

Oh WOW!

How is it GOING my party people! You know what time it is! ELDER TAYLOR'S EMAIL TIME!  So, this week was really really awesome let me tell you. And of course, we gotta do our weekly breakdown!  So, on P-day last week I discovered that my trainer's dad (Elder Mabey the Elder) and my dad (Elder Taylor the Elder) were in the SAME DISTRICT on their missions! How crazy is that?!? Talk about a small world, am I right?!?!? Anyway, that was really cool but the weather here is very not. Cool, that is. I am no where NEAR used to this humidity and it drives me crazy sometimes, but I am used to sweating a lot from the good old Arizona sun, so oh well. We didn't really do much on P-day, just got me some food! And had a few really awesome and DEEP discussions! My companions are so SMART!  Tuesday was just AMAZING as well of course! We had lots of miracles, because we were able to have a short lesson with one of our friends! He has a hard time keeping lessons short, because he loves to ...

Back in Arizona! Home from Nauvoo...

A   really  cool picture of Joseph and I reading from the book of Ether in the Book of Mormon before the martyrdom. Oh my goodness friends!! Sad to say it, but my time in Nauvoo is done for this year... It has been SO long since I wrote up a weekly email and I will be honest with you, it has been really hard to start one. You see, on July 31st, it was time to finally fly home from Nauvoo. I had spent so long living and working there that writing the "goodbye to Nauvoo" email was really difficult. Hence it has been about three weeks since the last time I wrote one of these. Due to that fact, this will mostly be a recap of the last few weeks, plus a few new adventures as well!  The last performances of the Nauvoo and British Pageants went SO well! I didn't get injured again, but I did get really sick at one point. I only missed one rehearsal all summer, and it was on the day my sickness was the worst. During that last week of shows, my parents actually flew out to...
